Starting Point: Los Angeles Union Station

Los Angeles Union Station is one of my favorite places in my adopted hometown of the past 30 plus years. Built in 1939, it is one of the last of the large train terminals built in the golden age of American passenger train service.

Union Station serves as a hub for Amtrak, Metrolink, and LA Metro rail and bus routes.

While not particularly out-of-the ordinary, there are two Starbucks outlets on site that offer coffee before or after your journey, operating from early morning until early evening.
